Now you can add speed to your textile processing lines, boost product
output and quality, and put more profit on the bottom line—all by installing
a new Glenro electric infrared predryer system. As textile manufacturers,
printers and finishers are discovering, you can get outstanding results
by replacing your older gas infrared predryers with new Glenro electric
infrared systems.
The
two pass electric infrared predryer shown here in the two photos removes
700 pounds per hour of water from a finished 112" wide fabric. Staggered,
face to face banks of Glenro Radplane®
electric infrared heaters work both sides of the fabric with precisely
controlled, uniform infrared energy. A Glenro electric infrared predryer
can do a lot of work within a comparable footprint of the gas infrared
system it replaces.
Heating elements run the full width of the system, so there's no risk
of cold-striping the fabric in the unlikely event a heater circuit fails.
Glenro's integrated control system allows the operator to shut down corresponding
pairs of heaters which maintains uniform heat transfer face to back side.

These days, natural gas predrying can be a liability. Gas prices are
out of control, and some gas predrying systems can be unreliable. Convert
to a Glenro electric infrared system, and we'll put an end to your predrying
headaches.
Thanks to deregulation in the electric power industry, power providers
are eager to help you justify converting to electric predrying. Glenro
engineers will work with you and your power company to help you get the
most efficient system and the best rates.
Typical Performance Characteristics
- Fast response medium-wave infrared heater design; 4.5 kW/sq.ft.radiant
power density.
- Fabric widths from 24" to 120".
- Eliminate fabric creasing with short pass height design; 42"
roll centers.
- Lower exhaust air volumes and temperatures; 200°F to 250°F.
- Over 2 pounds/hour water removal per kWhr.
Glenro designed and manufactured the system shown in the schematic
to predry dye on fabric. This system uses precise zone control across
machine direction to make it easily adaptable to a wide range of product
widths.
-
The new electric infrared predryer system eliminated
unwanted dye migration and improved final product color—thanks to
uniform heat transfer!
-
Improved air handling and controlled exhaust airflow
boosted our customer’s production efficiencies.
-
Production rates went way up because the Glenro predryer
system responds to product load and running conditions—and the system
stays in control of the process.
- Height 12'6" x Depth 8'8".
Take a minute right now and fill out a textile
