Glenro quartz tube infrared heaters can be designed with medium wave or short wave (T-3) emitters. As with any Glenro Radplane® heater design, this series of heaters include energy-efficient radiant heat sources and superior materials of construction. Design flexibility and multiple zoning possibilities make these heaters an excellent fit for demanding heat processing applications; especially when available space is limiting productivity. Glenro heater designs can be easily retrofitted into coating operations, printing presses and other product manufacturing lines.

Glenro uses gold-backed quartz tube emitters, which direct almost all of the infrared energy towards the product, creating higher energy transfer efficiencies than designs incorporating less effective secondary reflectors. The integral reflective gold backing also eliminates the need for insulated reflectors, which can expose a product to contaminants. Short wave heater designs include cooling air or water cooled housings to protect the quartz tubes from prematurely failing under the intense power densities in which they are designed to operate.

Many converting applications need intense heat applied because of high process speeds. Medical and clean room manufacturing operations need intense heat with no risk of product contamination. Often, Glenro will integrate this heater technology with a convection system design enabling its customers to reduce the overall dryer length required to produce a product at a competitive and profitable line speed.
